ABSTRACT PAINTING COLLECTION

The works gathered here come from several smaller series completed between 2003 and 2017. Bringing them together has made me realise how persistent a role movement has played throughout my work. Primary Variations began quite simply as an exploration of primary colour, yet even there, shapes seem to sweep, turn, overlap and move through space. Across these paintings, layered planes, arcs, ribbons and fragments create shifting relationships of depth, balance and tension. Movement—along with transformation, transition, and the simple pleasure of existing and moving through space—permeates the work.
